Howard Park Wines
"Outstanding winery regularly producing wines of exemplary quality and typicity" - James Halliday, 2012
Situated on a historical 100 acre property, surrounded by spectacular Karri and Marri forest, this is a must-see destination for both wine lovers and appreciators of natural beauty.
A stylish modern cellar door has made special use of glass, concrete, stainless steel and timber features in its architectural design - perfect for enjoying the natural surrounds while tasting the Howard Park and MadFish range of wines.
The vineyard was planted in the Great Southern in the pursuit of crafting exceptional Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon from this vast isolated region. Howard Park Wines now sources a number of varieties from this region including Shiraz from the Frankland River region for the renowned Scotsdale Shiraz.
Howard Park Wines also produce MadFish Wines. The MadFish story begins 15 kilometres from the quiet coastal town of Denmark at the picturesque MadFish Bay. According to local folklore, the bay's tranquillity is broken when two tides meet. The fish confused by this natural phenomenon, can be observed leaping in the air as if in a state of complete madness.
Leading Australian Wine Writer James Halliday, in his 2011 Australian Wine Companion has again awarded both our Howard Park and MadFish Wineries a prestigious 5 Red Star ranking.
We invite you to come and enjoy a complimentary tasting at cellar door, sample our award wining wines and judge for yourself.
Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the winery's surrounding parklands.
